Book Court this week!   Leave a comment

I’ll be reading at Book Court in Brooklyn this week with the fabulous Lise Funderburg who will be reading from her memoir, Pig Candy.
Other than that, I am working furiously to finish my book by the end of Violet’s school year.  That’s just six more weeks! Off I go!

Something I forgot to tell you   2 comments

When I was at the San Francisco stop of my book tour, my literary escort (the legendary David Golia) and I saw CHRIS DAUGHTRY on the street. I should’ve invited him to my reading. Then there would’ve been three people there.

Tonight at Northshire in Manchester, VT- 7:00 p.m.   4 comments

It’s the last reading of the tour proper at the wonderful Northshire bookstore, one of my favorites in the world. I am kind of sick and run down but I’m putting my last burst into this evening and tomorrow I take the train home to NYC where it’s back to being ignored (in a nice way.) When I get home (and I’m not on my parent’s dial-up connection) I’ll be giving details of the tour stops, the highs and lows, the bitter and the sweet. Until then…

Los Angeles   2 comments

I just arrived in Sunny Los Angeles. I have a few days off before my Santa Monica reading and then I go meet my baby at my parents house.  I miss her so much! She is having a great time bossing my mother around, occasionally she will actually take my calls. Paul’s on his way here, he just landed and called me on his cell phone to say, “My battery’s low but could you please-” Then he got cut off. SIGH!

Anyway, the details on the reading are:

Event in Washington CANCELLED   Leave a comment

For top secret reasons, the Washington reading is canceled. I can’t really say more at this time but certain book stores are not my friend any more.

On a brighter note, the Tribeca reading was one of the nicest nights of my life! Thanks to everyone for turning out — especially the people who didn’t know me, that was the part I couldn’t believe.
