These are some of the things I vacuumed yesterday:
easter grass
egg shells
hard boiled egg pieces
little bits of colored foil
the sticky sparkly crap that’s on Marshmallow Peeps

I was sent this picture of a man reading a book. I thought the composition of the photo was so beautiful, I decided to post it on the blog.
I’ve been thinking a lot this week about the timing of things. When I was pregnant, my beloved Otto passed away. Paul’s mother died on Violet’s first Christmas. This week as I’m gearing up for the publication of my first book, my rescue boy Moses was killed by a car. I keep thinking if I was a Jewish scholar I’d have some pearl of wisdom, like don’t take anything for granted or there’s bitter in the sweet. Still, it really sucks. Never mind that I can think of no good reason why Moses had to die…. he just wasn’t here that long and we miss him terribly
